To Beautiful Home without Breaking the Bank

Downsizing...selling the larger home and moving into smaller space... the typical scenario when couples make the decision to retire. But that certainly was not the case with this active Hendersonville couple, Joe and Linda Vigil. They actually upsized!
A couple of years ago the Vigils decided to retire and return home to Tennessee. For 18 years they made their home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where boating was a huge part of the adventurous couple’s lives. After Joe acquired his captain’s license, the two purchased a motor yacht, sold all their furniture and moved aboard the yacht calling it their home for five plus years. In their free time island hopping became a way of life.
When they moved back to Sumner County they decided it was time to downsize the boat and upsize the living space. Feeling excited, yet a little overwhelmed, they called Hearthstone Interior Design.
After meeting with Joe and Linda, the designers quickly pinpointed five priorities their clients wanted to accomplish with their new home. (1) They wanted it to be as low maintenance as possible. (2) A more casual look was a must. (3) Seating for at least six people as entertaining their friends and family was important. (4) Their home needed to reflect their taste and (4) they wanted a beautiful home without breaking the bank....
Hearthstone shared with Mature Lifestyles readers just how they made it happen for Linda and Joe.
