 Fear Not

     Color is my specialty.  Picking out colors for my clients is where I truly excel.  The proper paint colors are absolutely  magical when used properly in a space.  So I  love it when a client calls me for a color consultation.  This is my chance to create something magical in their space.  And the one thing that I have learned over the years is that most people do love color, but a lot of people  are just scared of it.  Why are people scared of color?  Are they afraid of making a mistake?  Is it lack of exposure?    It can't be monetary because a gallon of blue cost the same as a gallon of white.  Or, maybe they just can't visualize how its going to work in their home.   If you find yourself in this predicament fear not just  call in a designer for help.

     Take a look at our latest client's home.  It's full of color.  Let me tell you we had to do some major hand holding when it came to picking out the colors for this homeowner.  In this particular case  she just couldn't visualize how we were going to tie it all together.   Needless to say we received a phone call for every paint color change. One sentence that we heard a lot was "I don't like the blue".   Believe it or not, all color will go together.  You just need something in the space to bring all of the color together.  In our example it's the art work.  The art work contains all of our colors.  It bridges the gap for us.  Without it none of it makes sense.   It wasn't until the last accessory was placed that I heard this particular sentence "I like the blue".

    So, the next time you decide to decorate a room, try adding some magic with your paint colors.  If you don't have enough confidence to  pick out your paint colors fear not just call a designer for some help.
