My mantra is, to always think outside of the box. Today, I am asking you to think outside the box. Some of you are familiar with Hearthstone Interior Design and have been reading our monthly articles on interior design in Today's Home Magazine. Today, I want to introduce you to a new concept. Let me explain. You see, for quite sometime, I have wanted to purchase an unusual size painting to finish off my art gallery in my home (9 inches by 7 feet tall). Needless to say, I had been looking for that odd size piece for quite sometime. When out of the blue I received a call from Jennifer Bailey. Jennifer is a local artist, who painted my wife's portrait in the 80's. She wanted to invited me to a private art showing that displayed her new work that she had been creating this past year. It takes a lot to impress me, and Jennifer has done just that. I love art, and the creative thought process inspires me. Art, like interior design, requires creativity and talent to come up with an idea that is new and different, and Jennifer is truly talented. As a matter of fact, her art work motivated me to go ahead and commission that unusual piece of art for my home. So, we collaborated on the subject matter and colors of my new painting. Merging our creative talents, hers as a skilled artist and mine as a visionary of what the space needed proved to be extraordinary. What she created was truly amazing. A bejeweled three-dimensional painting completely different from any art that I have ever seen. It's fresh and unique.
This team effort led me to think outside of the box. What if we could combine our efforts to help clients purchase original art for their homes? Something that not only complemented the space but, something that could elevate their space to that next level. The beauty of this idea is that we could have custom sizes, choose the colors, and choose the subject matter as well. In other words, this could be true original art and no two pieces would ever be the same. Thus making your home truly unique.
